Looking for the latest technology in watches? Citizen has the world’s first commercially available Bluetooth watch – the Citizen VIRT, just released in June, 2006. I’ve been researching the Citizen VIRT and here are some of the cool features I really like.
Synchronization with cell phone: With the Citizen VIRT Bluetooth watch synchronized with your cell phone, it will vibrate and light up when a call comes in. Once your contact list is loaded into the Citizen VIRT, a small display window will show caller ID for incoming calls. This can be a very useful feature for those whose cell phone ends up in the bottom of a purse, backpack or brief case. The contact list is lockable, will hold up to 1,000 numbers and has a privacy feature to keep your outgoing information private.
Cell phone finder: Another really cool feature of the Bluetooth watch is that the Citizen VIRT has a dropped link alert. If you are too far away from your cell phone, your watch warns you that the link has been dropped so you don't end up leaving home without your phone.
Rechargeable battery: Capable of functioning about five days between charges, the Citizen VIRT allows you to leave the adapter home for a full work week. The watch takes only about three hours to fully charge.
